What a buzz
Hi all
Spring has sprung and things are buzzing in the garden. Everything is putting on a burst of growth. Buds are opening. Flowers are blooming and the birds and bees are doing their thing.
They are doing their thing…so I decided I should do mine…pictures :)
I had a bit of a crack at trying to get a bumblebee in flight last year…and was never really happy with the outcome. We haven’t had any of the 747 version of the bee in our garden as yet, but thankfully there are plenty of the regular variety.
Despite being allergic to bees, I realise their value to our continued existence on this planet. Without bees we would have no food…not just honey…we would have nothing. Their work as pollinators is extraordinary. If you love food you should love bees. From a juicy steak to a chocolate-coated raspberry, bees play a huge part (cattle eat grass…grass needs pollination).
Anyway…you get the picture.
I hope you enjoy mine.
All of the above images were taken with a Canon 7D mk2, 100mm f2.8 macro lens. 1/8000 @ f5 iso 800. (I found the 5Dmk4 too slow)
Cheers
