...and then.
Hi
Isn’t it funny (annoying) how someone can just mention a few words from a line in a song, and the tune gets stuck in your head…replaying over and over.
Anyway...more on that later J
I’ve been a bit lax with my blogging, but hopefully this one will bring us up to date before we launch fully into the silly season.
The undoubted highlight since we last chatted is the arrival of my grandson Jordan…a brother for Hudson.
I was extremely lucky to get the opportunity to travel to Perth (WA) to catch up with the family…and of course, take a few pics.
I also managed to catch up with a good friend and share a few tasty beverages.
Two nights before arriving in Perth, I was in Hobart shooting for the Tasmanian Community Fund. Part of the gig included a reception with the Governor and my first visit to Government House…a very impressive building.
On the return from Perth I had a night in Melbourne and caught up with fellow shooter and good mate Mark Jesser and his better half, Ellen. A stunning meal at my favourite Japanese restaurant Okachochin was washed down with a pleasant array of sake.
It wasn’t all R&R. The Melbourne stopover included a visit to the Canon Experience store to drop off both my 5Div camera bodies. I’ve been having focus issues that I hope they can rectify. CPS made sure I have loan bodies for the duration of the repair/research/clean.
Of course, while I was there, I had to have a play…potentially an expensive exercise.
The shooting for my February solo exhibition at the Burnie Regional Art Gallery is almost complete and the first test printing gave me goose bumps. God, I love prints.
All going well, I also plan on putting together a book of the images. Completing both will tick a couple of boxes on my bucket list.
Well, that’s a snapshot of what’s been going on. Obviously, there has been other stuff…but I don’t want to bore you to death J
…then I saw her face. Now I’m a believer. Not a trace of doubt…
