Staying small
It seems last week's bee theme was pretty popular, so I'm keeping it small.
The Canon 100mm macro has been my weapon of choice again...in a wander around the garden.
It's funny how much more you actually see when you look past the obvious and have your focus adjusted to see the small and usually insignificant things around you.
The first couple were taken on a recent damp day. I took advantage of a break between showers and the wind had dropped so the plants held onto the water droplets.
Sometimes it is the patterns that catch your eye...and sometimes it is the light against the dark.
...and then it can be the insignificant that leads to something better.
...and just when you are packing up...something bright and shiny catches your eye.
...and to finish up...something totally different. This image is one shot for the Brisbane Courier Mail...just one of those random, out-of-the-blue phone calls and off you go...trekking to South Nietta in the late afternoon.
The gist of the story (as I understand it from a brief briefing) is that a well known restaurateur has done a "Skase" and shafted a lot of people...one of whom is Nathaniel, who has escaped to South Nietta with his partner to start over. With his positive attitude, I'm sure there will be plenty of gates opening for him.
...until next time.
