Prints. Cameras. Open.
Hello everyone.
Well, that was awesome! The attendance and feedback to the opening of my exhibition ‘People of Passion’ was nothing short of humbling.
When people come up to tell you how amazing your work is and they are crying…it’s like a YES moment…they get it. It means I’ve managed to capture something about the subject that really resonates with someone who knows and loves them.
Can’t ask for more than that!
A huge thank you to my guest speaker/opener Corey Speers. As expected…he nailed it. If you would like to hear what he had to say, check out the video below (thank you Mark Jesser for the recording).
I also need to thank Mark for taking control of the book sales. I barely had a chance to talk to a third of the people in the room, let alone sell books.
The books were highly sought after and sold out very quickly. If demand is high enough I may do a second edition…but to maintain the special nature of my ‘first’ book I would make a few changes to differentiate between first and second runs.
Thanks to Heath Holden for supplying images…somehow I forgot to take any….lol
Tomorrow (Wednesday 13th) I’m doing a Lunchtime Lecture at the Gallery…if you would like to know a bit more about the technique, ask questions or hear a few of the stories behind the pictures…12.30pm (bring you own lunch).
Thank you to Ben Eyles, Katie McDougall and Jason Hollister (ex-workmates) for all your beautiful lies (see video).
In fact I just want to thank everyone…I love youse all :)
Cheers
