The year that was...?
Hi All
Well, to say that this year has been strange, weird, challenging, emotional and transformative is probably only repeating what others are thinking. None of us have lived through anything like it. And sadly, lots of people didn’t.
Every single person living on the planet has been affected in some way…it is something that is difficult to get your head around. Each of us has our own personal story of financial hardship, loss, cancelled trips and absent relatives/loved ones. But, in all the misery and sadness there has also been the good. If we can take some of the things we have learned about hygiene, personal space and caring for others as we move forward out of this, the world can be a better place.
I think this year has also made people more aware of how important friends and family are. When you are apart, and you are told you can’t be together, it just makes you miss them more.
We have been particularly lucky to be living in Australia. At this stage, we have escaped the horror occurring in some other countries…something to be very thankful for.
I am thankful. Despite how crap the year has been, I feel lucky.
A few of highlights have been the birth of my grandson Henley and the announcement that my daughter is pregnant. News of new grand babies is the happiest of things.
I hope each and every one of you can find at least one thing to be positive about. We can’t change the situation we have found ourselves in…but we can choose to move forward in a positive way.
A big thankyou to all those who have managed to support my business. I hope to deal with you again in the future and also reunite with those regulars that had to cancel.
